Returning Students to Notus School District

Every Notus School District family must enroll for each school year.
Please fill out the 2026-2027 Registration packets by clicking here or they can be found under the Forms and Documents tabs. There are a few new additions and changes, so please read carefully as you fill out the form.
If you are having trouble obtaining any of the documents, please contact the school's administrative assistant who will be happy to assist you.

Registration for Families New to Notus School District

If you are a new to Notus School District family please sign up for registration by calling the district office 208-459-7442. The building secretary will schedule a time to meet with you. Bring the completed registration form found here (or they can be found under the Forms and Documents tabs), proof of address, immunization records, and your child's birth certificate.

Si su familia es nueva en el Distrito Escolar de Notus, regístrese llamando a la oficina del distrito al 208-459-7442. La secretaria del edificio programará una cita con usted. Traiga el formulario de registro completo que encontrará aquí.aquí(o puede encontrarlos en las pestañas Formularios y documentos), comprobante de domicilio, registros de vacunación y el certificado de nacimiento de su hijo.

New Students (Open Enrollment)

Notus School District has an open enrollment policy (3010) whereby students, who live outside the District boundaries, are allowed to enroll (tuition free) in our schools on a case-by-case basis, depending on a number of factors, including available space in the school. The District policy and Open Enrollment form can be found on the : Forms and Documents tab. Once the Open Enrollment has been reviewed by Administration, you will receive a letter with the result.

Nuevos estudiantes (inscripción abierta)

El Distrito Escolar de Notus cuenta con una política de inscripción abierta (3010) que permite a los estudiantes que residen fuera de los límites del distrito inscribirse (sin costo de matrícula) en nuestras escuelas, según cada caso particular y en función de diversos factores, como la disponibilidad de cupo. La política del distrito y el formulario de inscripción abierta se encuentran en la pestaña "Formularios y documentos". Una vez que la administración revise su solicitud de inscripción abierta, recibirá una carta con la resolución

"The District will only accept an open enrollment student if the grade level and/or programs they require are below the capacity limits specified in 3010P. The District shall report, at least four times during the school year, the space available at each grade level, by school, using these capacity limits and will post it prominently on the District website."

Policy 3010P reads in part:

A school, grade, or program(s) has lack of available classroom space and/or staff, such as when the current enrollment is at or above the following capacity limits:

2-3	18
4-6	22
7-12	175 students per teacher per day OR 33 students per grade level.
Special Education classroom, Self-Contained	An average of 6 students per teacher
English Language Learners (ELL)	20 per full-time ELL teacher
Alternative Schools	18 students per classroom
Special Education classroom, Resource	An average of 10 students per teacher
Special Education classroom, Extended Resource	An average of 6 students per teacher
Special Education classroom, Special Day	An average of 6 students per teacher
