Volunteer Grandparents Program
Hello,
Notus Elementary would love for you to share your life with our little pirates. We have a few different ways to make this happen. We are looking for people to help with reading in small groups and/or individually. This would consist of providing positive feedback, discussing the contents of the story, and assisting the children in their learning journey. We would also love some additional presence on the playground for recess duty as well as in the cafeteria while lunch is being served and eaten.
To volunteer, please contact Mr. Holm or the office to receive a volunteer application and any other necessary paperwork. It is also required that all volunteers undergo our background check process. A fingerprint card will need to be picked up at the Notus District office and completed via the Idaho State Police Department for a fee of $11.00.  This card along with the background check paperwork needs to be completed and turned into the State Department of Education for a cost of $26.25. If assistance is needed covering the background check fee, please let us know and we can provide more information about our financial assistance.
